From the 3rd - 28th March 2025, Bristol Zoo Project are inviting you to "pay what you can" to enter their park, after 2pm every day. Their suggested donation is half price, but they say if you can't manage that right now, you're welcome to pay 1p or upwards.
Anything extra you can pay will be helping the charity part of their organisation as the T&Cs state that the entry price is 1p and anything else on top is being regarded as a charitable donation.
You can only get this offer on the door, so there's no need to book. Remember though that the last entry to the zoo and Bear Wood is 3pm, and the whole place closes at 4pm. They recommend you head straight to Bear Wood when you arrive as it can take 45 minutes to walk around the wood - which is a raised wooden walk way with glass sides letting you see bears roam.
You can read about the offer on their website here. Whilst it is from 1p, they do really ask you pay half price if you can afford to so that they can carry on their Conservation work, and of course look after their own animals.
Bristol Zoo Project and it's site near Cribbs Causeway just North of Bristol is the successor to Bristol Zoo, who closed their Clifton based attraction in 2022 after nearly 200 years of running.
