Easter at The Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare

On Saturday we visited The Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare. The sun was shining, and the sea was in. It was perfect!

Lily (14) and I reminisced about visits we took to Weston when she was younger (See below the 2 pictures I searched out to show her from a visit when she was 2).

We parked in the NCP Car Park on the High Street (£5.85 for 3 hours), but there is lots of parking to choose from in Weston, before walking to the pier (less than a 5 minute stroll).

Upon arrival, we raced up the pier taking in the gorgeous views, before heading into the Grand Pier proper to begin the Easter Trail. Entry to the pier is £2.

From 5th -21st April, The Grand Pier are running their Dinosaur Egg Hunt. There were dinosaurs around the pier which Joseph (5) loved, and eggs were hidden in various locations. Each hidden egg had a Letter, and we filled these in on our trail sheets to complete a word. Upon solving the word, we headed to visit the Easter Bunny, who gave us a prize! As part of their Easter offering, they also have free face painting, but Joseph is averse to having his face painted.

The kids then had lots of fun on the arcade machines, rides, and games, before we headed back down the pier for an ice cream.

We finished off the trip with a stroll along the beach. Joseph declined a donkey ride but spent an age staring at them in wonder.

From Saturday 5th April to Monday 21st April, The Grand Pier will open daily from 10am, with rides starting at 11am.

The easter activities will begin from 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends. Please note that Face Painting will be availble from 12pm daily and the Easter Bunny will be available from 12:00-12:20, 1:00-1:20, 2:00-2:20, 3:00-3:20, 4:00-4:20.

Wristbands are available on weekends and within North Somerset School Holidays, which offer unlimited rides all day with great savings.
