What do ambassadors need to do and what's in it for you?

All you need to do as an Ambassador is add 4 things to do a month to the website - just 1 thing a week. And it takes about 2 minutes to add a listing. So that's 8 minutes "work" a month.

We also ask that you stay following us on social channels and share stories or posts now and again, when they're relevat to your followers.

Meanwhile, you'll be part of our new exciting and growing community of people who love to get the best out of life. Whether that's with your kids, or your partner, or exploring the world solo, there are so many weird and wonderful things to do out there, help us spread the word and share ideas! We've got profiles on social media obviously, but we also send emails and shout outs to help you discover fun new things to do, from other like-minded fun seekers.

You'll also have the opportunity to earn an extra income in 3 major ways:

Every fun thing to do that you add to Activibees will have a couple of attractive looking ads on their free listing - no ugly automated ad placements here. And any money that those ads earn, you'll get a share of, for all the time that you're an Ambassador.

Soon we'll be giving listings the option to upgrade their listing, and pay a monthly fee to appear in our AI powered itinerary planner. When that happens, you'll get a chunky share of any upgrade fees paid by listings you've added.

If you like writing, and would like to increase your earning potential, then you're welcome to publish blog posts on our blog. Which we'll also link to from social channels. And - you guessed it - you'll get a chunk of ad revenue from anything the blog posts earn.

Perky perks

We're new at the moment, but we hope in due course being an Ambassador will bring it's share of perks. We can't be in all places at all times, so if we're invited to a new event or offered something special, we'll pass things on to our team.

We're also looking at ways we can reward businesses (the places with "things to do") who reward our Ambassadors with treats and discounts.

In the future we may need to limit how many people we can let join as Ambassadors. But for now, our doors are wide open!

So get in quick!

FAQs

We've tried to cover what questions people commonly ask below - please contact us if you have any questions not answered below.

Anyone! In the future we may need to limit it, but right now, anyone can apply to be an Ambassador, regardless of how many followers you have or where you live. We want people from all walks of life - parents, students, single adults, couples - anyone! If you do have a large following on social media or elsewhere online and would rather be an affiliate, please read this page.

At the moment, we're not making this a requirement. We may do in the future, but right now, whilst we're just getting started, we're just welcoming everyone.

We do! You can read more here.

No, absolutely not, never - if anyone approaches you saying otherwise, they're not legitimate.

Ambassadors are welcome to add things from anywhere in the UK. Having said that, we do ask for the first part of your post code when you sign up just so that we can see if we've got an even spread of Ambassadors across the UK, and we'd love it if you did concentrate on your local area so that we know we're getting good coverage.

Yes! You certainly can - if you can find enough things like that, that's great.

Absolutely not. Leave that to us. Having said that, if you know the place you've added and you want to speak to them about regularly uploading their events or similar (and you being credited for them all) then that would be great - maybe drop us an email and we can discuss the best way to go about it.

I'm afraid not. The site (probably) won't let you, depending on how you add it, and if you do manage to add it, when we review the listing we'll (probably) not approve it.

No. We have editorial guidelines (please email us for a copy) that basically say you mustn't write anything unsavoury or offensive. Blog posts must also be a minimum of 500 words long. Overall, blog posts need to be very well written and we will need to approve each one before we publish it.

This is reviewed on a case by case basis as many affiliate programmes are tied to a specific website domain and might not track if you send referrals from activibees.com when you're on the programme with your own URL. It's not a no, but it's not a definate yes.

Smiply fill in this form and we'll be intouch if your application is approved. (Which it probably will be - we're just reviewing each one to check we don't get too many from the same area.)

Just email us, and we'll stop your account being an Ambassador account. We'll also stop any future payments and re-assign any blog posts to an anonymous account so your profile doesn't show anymore.

We ask you for your name, email address, website URL (if you have one), social media profile URLs, and first part of the post codes (before the gap) you'd like to cover. These details initally are only shared with us (it's only if you start blogging you can choose to share them with the public.)

If you just add listings, none of your details are shared with the public. If you write any blog posts, then you'll get a public profile that shows all of your blog posts. It's up to you whether you share your photo, a short bio, City/location and social and web links here.

We'll be honest with you - we don't know yet. This is early doors - that's the joys of working on a start up, you don't know how long it's going to take for it to take off! But over time, lots of little revenue streams add up so the more listings you add, the more you'll be earning in the future.

Once you reach £20 is owed commissions, we'll BACs you your earnings (once we've asked you for your bank details). We're working on a dashboard so you can see how your earnings are coming along.

Please enter your email below so we can save these to an account for you.
