Profiles on activibees

Profiles on activibees

Build your profile on the UK's fastest growing "things to do" website to start building your audience of busy bees.

Unlike with other creator networks, here you can actually download your audience and know that they'll always see all of your content.

Profiles for...

Creators

Share your reviews of things to do and include your own affiliate links. Share across your socials so that people subscribe to follow your activibees profile and you can gather email addresses.

Brands

If you're a "thing to do" (inc. hospitality brands), create a profile to list your attractions and events. People who subscribe to your profile will always be emailed when you add new events or offers - no tricky algorithms keeping your updates away from your fans.

Accommodation

If you offer holiday accomodation, use your activibees profile to help people find things to do near you during their stay. Write blog posts to get your profile featured across our site, and build pick lists of your top recommendations.

Monetising your profile

Creators - you want to make your work pay the rent, obviously. Therefore you're welcome to include any affiliate links in your blog posts* where your arrangement with those merchants allow. Even in Complimentary Content, we'll work with you to include your own links. If you include a blog post on activibees as part of a brand deal combined with your work on other platforms, that's absolutely fine by us - we can even help you write it. (*As long as they are in line with our editorial guidelines, but that just means nothing unsavoury!)

Meanwhile, we're introducing paid levels of listing for our "things to do". If an organisation adds their events to activibees, and pays to upgrade their listing, having come via your profile, we'll give you a lifetime commission on what we earn from that upgrade. Our own affiliate programme. This is particularly relevant to creators and holiday accommodation.

Email vs. algorithms

We use email - meaning you can always be sure that your updates will land in front of your audience. No Algorithm Gods deciding whether to even show your content today or not.

You invest a lot of time into social channels which could disappear over night - drive that audience to your activibees profile so you can capture their email address and build a more sustainable business.

Take a tour...

All of the elements of an activibees profile are optional - simply choose what works for you and your content. Arrange a call and we can help you decide.

Bio

Every profile has a bio. This is your space to write about yourself, add your location and give links to your website and other profiles. You can fill in as much or as little as you want here.

Pick lists

Choose your favourite "things to do" that are listed on the website and add them into pick lists. Give each list a name and customise the pic that sits on your profile page. If the "thing to do" you want to list isn't already on the site, it takes less than 2 minutes to add a new one thanks to our Grabber Tool which can grab a lot of the info for you.

Events

If you're a brand, or even a creator or venue who arrange / host the odd event, add your things to do to activibees and they'll be featured on your profile. If you have a lot to add regularly, talk to us about integrating our Grabber Tool so we can grab them automatically for you (there's usually no charge for this).

Map

If it suits your profile (this one is usually for hotels and holiday lets), you can show a map centered on a post code. This lets people view all of the things to do listings - both evergreen attractions and events - on activibees within 10 miles of you. An easy way to give holiday makers plenty of  varied inspiration for their stay.

Blog posts

Write blog posts any time you want to - for creators these will probably be reviews of places you've visited lately, itineraries for city breaks, or the inside track on how to have a great day out on a budget. For accommodation profiles, they'll be articles about things to do in the area, tied in with mentions of why you're a great place to stay, and for brands they'll be updates on your latest news, offers and events - perhaps a round up on what you're doing for half term or Christmas. Feel free to include your own affiliate links in blog posts (where your arrangements with merchants allow). Blog posts are featured on our home page, on our new heavily SEO'd location pages, and cherry picked for feature around the whole site, leading new visitors back to your profile.

VIPs (Very Important Profiles)

Who's behind activibees?

activibees is built and operated by 18a, a web development company based just outside Bristol, UK. We've been building websites for ourselves and clients all over the world for over 17 years and you can read some glowing testimonials on our website.

The giving aspect of our site - where we hope in the future to support individuals and families who have been facing a tough time - comes from our Director and Founder, Lisa's, experiences when her son was born early and spent the first few months of his life in hospital. You can read more here.
