The Early May Bank Holiday weekend (3rd - 5th May) isn't far away so it's a good time to get planning what to do, if you haven't already.

Highlights include Liverpool Sound City, an annual International festival which has helped the careers of megastars such as Ed Sheeran, alt-J and Calvin Harris when they were just starting out.
It's also the week of Cheltenham Jazz Festival, where you can see acts such as Lulu, Katie Melua and Tom Walker.
Saturday 3rd May marks the start of the Brighton Festival - an arts spectacular with over 20 days of music, theatre and dance for you to feast on.
If you're looking for a weekend of free art to soak up, then head over to North Someret for North Somerset Arts Week 2025, where over 200 artists are opening their homes and studios to the public for you to explore and enjoy their work. On the topic of the arts, the bank holiday is the last weekend of the Southbank Centre's arts festival, Multitudes - so expect something pretty special there.
Shakespeare fans are in for a treat with a reimagining of Romeo and Juliet in the form of a Western at the Globe theatre - with saloon brawls and gun slinging in the Wild West!
Meanwhile the garden lovers amongst you might want to check out the Hampton Court Palace Tulip Festival, or the Dorset Spring Show. (The Malvern Spring Festival isn't until the following weekend.)
Finally, if you actually just feel like some shopping, then head into London and be one of the first to visit Oxford Street's new IKEA which is opening on the 1st May!
