What is this about?
Our Founder, Lisa, is on the committee of a small charity and was tasked with finding the most cost effective way for that charity to sell tickets. Lisa assumed there would be a way for charities to sell tickets which wouldn't cost them anything - but was shocked to find there wasn't! So she sought an OpenBanking partner who process charity payments for free and we built the ticketing solution to go with it.
Features for Charities
Collect delegate information, such as dietary requirements or participant info. Download a CSV of this data at any time.
Show a personalised message on the success screen and in confirmation emails.
Create and sell multiple ticket types for the same event - e.g. early bird, or child ticket.
QR codes are sent out with purchase confirmation which you can scan on arrival to confirm validity.
What is OpenBanking?
With Open Banking, you can securely pay organisations without giving them any payment information (that's what makes it so secure). You're walked through a very simple process of authorising the payment from your bank account, so that your bank sends the money directly to whomever you're trying to pay. No entering of card details, no handing over bank account details.
For people who don't want to use OpenBanking...
We also let you integrate a Stripe account. Stripe does charge a small fee (we still don't), so the site asks your customer if they'd be happy to add a small donation to cover the 1.5% +20p Stripe charge. On a £25 ticket, the Stripe fee will be around 57p.

What is activibees?
We're a 'things to do' website, helping people find things to do both near their location, or from home. You can read more about activibees and why we were set up here. It's owned and operated by 18a Productions, an award winning web development agency based just outside Bristol with a 17 year history of making websites for charities, brands and start ups all over the world.
